Microsoft(MS) celebrated February Patch Tuesday yesterday by issuing four critical patches, two of which plug serious holes in Internet Explorer (IE).

According to the official Security bulletin, the IE cumulative update shipped yesterday patches two critical vulnerabilities that ‘could allow remote code execution if a user views a specially crafted Web page using Internet Explorer.’

Other critical patches address problems in MS Exchange, the server system many large corporations use to manage their e-mail and other digital employee communications. Additional ‘important’ fixes were targeted to other MS enterprise applications, SQL Server and Visio.
